For this critical study Jeffrey Skoller, filmmaker and scholar, analyses some of the richest and least acknowledged avant-garde movies of the past decades, drawing on the cultural theory from Benjamin and Deleuze. The case-studies are works by filmmakers such as Eleanor Antin, Craig Baldwin, Charles Burnett, Abigail Child, Daniel Eisenberg, Ernie Gehr, Jean-Luc Godard and Patricio Guzman.
