I love the wondrous soundworlds created by Karen Willems, drummer/percussionist/electronic artist/vocalist based in Belgium. Soundworlds in which man, machine and nature keep on interacting in constantly transforming constellations.

This cassette tape came about during a residency at KAAP studio, at De Werf in Bruges. Willems weaves a quilt of whispers, reverberations, tappings and murmurs, tearing sounds apart and creating new worlds with them, sculpting or tweaking her instruments freely.
