Vinkepeezer reworks found sounds, old and new electronics, and excess sounds from vinyl records and tapes into new musical constellations. He reworks the recent past into a new musical future, that can be as soothing as it is funny, chaotic and devastating.

This album by Vinkepeezer (aka Ivo Bol) was inspired by conspiracy theories and spirituality. Guided meditations, esoteric voices and a plethora of samples from the most paranoid corners of the internet are combined with organ sounds and electronic pop music. Listening to the world around him as if using a stethoscope, Vinkepeezer leads you through a wild and varied soundscape with many unexpected turns. One moment you’re in an online meditation course and the next you are tuning into a podcast that spirals out of control.

The phrase “Everything is a Frequency” pops up in a collage where we hear various self-assigned pandemic-era experts claiming to know where it’s going with the world. But the most enjoyable voices to hear are those of guest performers Jayne Bordeaux and Esther Mugambi. Other guest appearances are by Udo Moll (R.I.P.) on trumpet, Raphael Vanoli on guitar, Ties Mellema on sax, and Tom Aldrich, voice.
