In Japan, Otaku means someone who goes to extremes in his ‘hobby’. The people from the Gainax studios here look at themselves, true anime otaku, at what drives them and what’s silly about people like them. It’s a mixture of documentary parts, interviews, etc. and a real animation about the ultimate goal of an otaku: to rule the world! Excellent work and nice as introduction to the genre.
