Terry Day - Interruptions
A sampler of multi-tracks, solos, words and whims. A dip into backyard alleys – at a tempo. Day was founder member of the People Band, and played with several leading improvisors and groups like the Alterations and Kahondo Style. On these recordings from 1978-1981 he explores the world of unconventional instruments like balloons, thumb piano, plastic trumpet and a Michel Waisvisz crackle box, but also performs on piano, saxophones, drums, cello, . . . Highly entertaining.
