Alienbaby Collective is actually one woman: Liú Mottes, a stalwart of the Dutch underground over the past decade and a terrifically exciting guitar player, who I first saw live as half of the duo SOON, also on Subroutine Records. She navigates a path between songs and adventurous improvisations using textures, field recordings and loops. Her singing is retained, soft, sometimes more like quiet conversation, sometimes intensifying along with her instrumental phrasing.

This LP, her first album I think, was released in 2025 and I can highly recommend it: I think she is a highly talented artist.
