Matthew P. Hopkins is a Melbourne based artist that uses processed field and vocal recordings, electronics, found sound, and occasional instrumentation to produce electro-acoustic compositions. Hopkins’ work hovers from hissing clunk, atmospheric creep to sombre refrains. This was his second solo effort after recordings with indie/crossover outfit Vincent Over The Sink. ‘Vent’  is a unique exhumation of sonics and song, the ambient and the uncanny.
