Jaap Blonk - Leest Theo Van Doesburg
Theo van Doesburg (1883-1931) developed both the practical and theoretical foundations of abstract art and ideas about a synthesis of art and life in the modern age. He was an important figure in the Dada movement and founder of De Stijl magazine. These are wonderful little poems, that he wrote under the pseudonym I.K. Bonset, and appeared in De Stijl in 1921. And they fit Jaap Blonk like a glove! Including a text book where the experimental “letter-images” of the poems have been reproduced.
