Christa Orth, a drag king who came of age two decades ago in Portland, Oregon reflects on the past, present, and future of drag and transgender community and rights. Starting with the right-wing backlash against drag performance and trans people that’s sweeping the world today, they then look to the past for inspiration from drag queens, drag kings, and gender expansive people before us. And finally, they harness their desire and rage to imagine how we will survive and endure forever more.
