R.A.S. are: Simon Steiner, Ralf Seiden Faden and Alain Domagala. A funny package including a C-60 cassette, a CD-R, a sunny postcard, a seashell, a plastic flower and booklet with musings (In German) by Simon Steiner, in a limited edition of 25 hand-numbered copies. Steiner apparently is a friend of Richard Van Dellen’s of De Fabriek, the underground music and art collective in Zwolle. An eclectic variety sounds, spoken word and samples, some of them from his place of residence on Evia (Euböa) island in Greece, some of them from his other hometown Stuttgart, have been processed by both Dellen and Steiner into a great number of dada-esque short tracks, 45 to be precise. I have the feeling that Seiden Faden and Domagala are some of Steiner’s alter egoes, but I may be wrong.
