Degrees of Freedom.

The only form of organization is that musicians tell the session leader in advance if they would like to play. The session leader will put ad-hoc ensembles together and call them on stage. Of course, a limited number of musicians can participate.

Both experienced and inexperienced improvisers are invited to make the session a success; everyone is invited to come and play!

The audience will follow every move and sound, as the ad-hoc ensembles explore each other’s sonic vocabulary. Both experienced- and inexperienced improvisers can learn and grow from this encounter.

The R:IP programmers try to make the most challenging and unorthodox combinations of musicians, aiming to have all of them broaden their horizons.
