Dutch (Utrecht-based) label Ducktape Records has been releasing noise and experimental electronica on CD-R and tape for almost 15 years; and now here is their first vinyl.

Môgô describes his music as Kosmic ambient techno and dubby drones. “A must for lovers of ‘outer space’ music for ‘inner space’ moments of reflection.” he says.

Indeed the two side-long pieces have a soothing, meditative effect, though not always composed of smooth materials. There are the more abrasive drones here and there, and the techno kicks in at some point but I guess it is the slow pace at which the subsequent parts pass by, sparsely-layered, transparent and rather mesmerizing, that allow the listener to curl into themselves while being launched into the atmosphere.
