Eddie Harris’ bassman Melvin Jackson works here in a Cadet Records-like session — with horns from members of the AACM (including Lester Bowie, Leo Smith, and Roscoe Mitchell), guitar from Phil Upchurch, vocals from The Sound Of Feeling, and lots of funky rhythms on the stretched-out tracks.
