Jarra - For a Moment Nothing Happens
Second album by Jarra, after his IsoMonads tape of 2019. Raw frequencies beat around your ears, high jubilant overtones tickle them and dark deep drones give you an acoustic massage. For this Jarra uses an array of analogue synthesizers, like the Buchla Easel, Marienberg Devices and the Rob Hordijk System, adding analogue effects, feedback and distortion. He plays with the synths’ instabilities, and, like Eliane Radigue, likes to allow sound to happen as it wants to. The four pieces on this tape, each 10 to 15 minutes long, are the result.
