Column One - Cindy, Loraine & Hank
This double LP from 2015 presents Column One and their experimental approach to sound at its best. Much of the material comes from their collaboration with the Berlin Zeitkratzer Ensemble (2012) and, together with other recordings, evolved into, as they write, “a bulky muscleman from the splinters of classical instrumentation, electro-acoustic manipulations & assemblages & the clarity of field recordings. Musique concrète if you like. A boundless world.”
Column One in this case, were:
Andrew Loadman montage, field recordings
Jürgen Eckloff piano, synth, source donation
René Lamp singing glass
Robert Schalinski zither, piano, flute, gongs, saw, synth, acoustic devices, voice, field recordings
