Hamburg-based musician Birgit Ulher’s two-part, 37-minute performance for Cashmere Radio in Berlin. The broadcast was in 2019; at the same occasion Cahsmere Radio did an interview with her. Ulher used extended speakers that were fed with radio sounds into trumpet mutes, transforming the trumpet into an acoustic chamber that modulated and warped noise in the process. The trumpet thus became a transmitter and receiver at the same time.

Ulher is known for pushing the trumpet beyond the bounds of its quotidian use. The interview can be heard here.
