Historical recording from 1965 of a rehearsal with the Orchestra Radiotelevisione della Svizzeria Italiana, of the 6th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. Conductor Scherchen (1891-1966) is heard talking to the orchestra and trying to get them to play what he wants to hear. A thing that the public usually only hears in documentaries – really funny and illustrative of the talents and character of a conductor of such experience.
