The Domestic Front is the ‘micro bionic’ audio project of sound artist Thomas Transparent, known for his focus on making strange, elemental hybrids of the natural and synthetic, in varying degrees of seductive quality and violent intensity. Neither a mere ‘noise project’ nor an academically-inclined ‘computer musician’, T.D.F. provide ‘functional’ electronic music intended to re-integrate listeners with experiences and ideas outside of the human social sphere. Recorded/composed by Thomas Bey & William Bailey in Chicago, 2004 and Chiba / Tokyo 2005. Packaged on a glossy backing 7″ x 11″ backing board with photography by Nigel Staley, and is limited to 93 copies.
