In 2013 the debut of the Dutch Hip-Hop duo De Nuance, consisting of rapper and writer Marco Martens and producer Royal With Cheese, as a two-part set on 12” vinyl named Tweede Viool / Derde Bedrijf (Second Violin/ Third Act) was released on their own label. The EPs were accompanied by the poetry collection Eerste Indruk (First Impression). The result was a very classy (see also the stylish cover) contribution to Dutch Hip-Hop. De Nuance’s sound is mature, and every track by these poetic storytellers sounds logical without being predictable.
