Phil Maggi - Motherland
Inspired by Fulcanelli, Robert Garcet and Giordano Bruno’s writings, Motherland is an evocative sonic journey through Umbria, Italy: an electronic evocation, a suite of abyssal ballads made out of field-recordings and traditional music samples, among other sources.
Phil Maggi (1980) lives and works in Liège, Belgium. Since 2003, he’s working on disfigured sonic landscapes including atmospheric ambient music and the exploration of drone and noise territories, but also dark psychedelic and lo-fi cinematographic soundtracks inspired by dreams and traditional popular music.
