Niklas Adam and Jennifer Torrence - Edaphon
Two multi-talented sound artists in a (to me) new collaboration, and what a rich soundworld they create. An assortment of percussion and found objects spread onto a rectangular field. Captured through a spaced microphone array. Sticks, blocks and bells. Voice and synthesis. The cover features two double Pantone spot-varnish artworks by E.F.M.R.A., complemented by a text contribution from Jenny Hval.
Jennifer Torrence is a percussionist/performer working internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, collaborative artist, improviser, composer, and artistic researcher.
Niklas Adam works with electronics, objects, sculpture, programming, performance, installation and music.
Some technical details from the label: This record is made of 180 grams black bio-vinyl, ‘zero-footprint’. FSC 350 and 230 GSM GC1 with double Pantone color and high UV gloss partial spot varnish.
