On the split EP “I Left My Heart In San Francisco Volume One”, Kit Clayton and Sutekh – the west coast pioneers of forward thinking techno – unload a heavy slab of speaker-shredding club tackle for Adjunct. Clayton’s contribtion is an aggressive, poly-rhythmic leviathan, stewed in a thick, acidic molasses that gurgles and belches like the spawn of Lovecraft’s Cthulu. Sutekh’s ‘Make It With The Bow’ is a frantic ‘stepper’ that exposes us to more hostile, digital frequencies and perverse, harmonic arrangements. There’s also the inclusion of two, tasteful micro-house versions from Jorge Savoretti & Lucas Mari and Dilo.
