This is a new periodical initiated by Carlos van Hijfte and Ton van Gool. Their idea is to write about the crossovers of visual art and pop music, and to invite guest editors for each issue. Van Hijfte is planning a Betrayal Takes Two #2 that might appear in 2020! Fingers crossed…
A central role in this issue is artist Rene Daniels, a promising young upcoming talent in the 70s and 80s, and the strong liaisons between punk-era Eindhoven (Remko Scha, Truus de Groot and others) and no-wave era New York (Sonic Youth, Glenn Branca, Talking Heads a.o.). Expect brilliant photography,  lucid texts by Scha, de Groot, Van Gool and Van Hijfte, and a selection of drawings, notes, and stills from Super 8-movies Daniels made in New York.
