Dennis wants you to “PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN IN FLEMISH, A LANGUAGE ALMOST NOBODY UNDERSTANDS!!!”

Quite a singular in-between project by our proliferous Ultra Eczema artist. As it happened, Belgian artist Gerard Herman was invited by a school for offset printmaking in Brugge to create an artist book the students would have difficulties printing… He then invited Dennis Tyfus, who was intensely reading Mathias Danneels and in the end they distilled some poems out of Danneels’ writings. The poems were accompanied by photographs by Dennis Tyfus’ father Eduard Tyfus, who was an amateur photographer. His pictures of parks and flowers perfectly fit to the schmoezerie this book is dripping with. This book is full of “graphic surprises”, fold open posters, a poster of Joey Ramone with Matthias Danneels from 1985 and a lot of words that should be used more and better!
