Holger Hiller & Thomas Fehlmann - Wir Bauen eine Stadt (1930, Paul Hindemith)
On Felix Kubin’s Gagarin label, a reissue of a cassette tape on Ata tak, 1981. Hiller & Fehlman, both of Palais Schaumburg fame, reinterpreted the Hindemith composition (‘a play for school orchestras’). It was meant to depict to children the construction & survey of a modern city. Although Hiller & Fehlmann’s orchestration was with synths & manipulated voices, they strictly adhered to the original score.
