This is the soundtrack to the film by Patrick Bokanowski, the amazing, musique concrète compositions that were not published separately from the film until 2003, on this CD. Dark, ominous, minimal, it definitely stands in its own right. Bokanowski made use of recordings by three string instrumentalists (violin, cello, double bass) and she re-arranged all the elements into new pieces, that in its minimalism remind me a bit of the work of Wim Mertens. Though recorded in the late 70s, it has a fuzzy lo-fidelity sound to it that makes it sound older.
