Danielle Lemaire - Respiration
Again a beautiful album by one of my favourite makers, a balanced collection of analogue synth adventures and layered homey songs. A result from a stay in the WORM Klangendum studio.
Danielle: “The studio has a large collection of vintage analogue synthesizers such as the ARP 2500 and 2600, Serge synthesizer, EM Synthi A, AS 8899, EMS VCS3 and Korg MS-20, inherited from the famous Centrum voor Elektronische Muziek (CEM). […] I learned some very basic instructions about the soundmachines and how to connect a cable here and there, and then I just went with the flow. Carefully, but without hesitation. Listening and following the respiration of the machines.”
The vinyl is 300 grams, the artwork was printed at Knust in Nijmegen.
Edition of 150. The “marble” effect you see on the vinyl itself is deceptive – a reflection of light there, probably.
